Planning the perfect summer wedding

From dealing with the dresses and the cake to the menu and the music, planning the perfect summer wedding can feel overwhelming. Chunking everything down into manageable areas can make the process much simpler:

Venue

If you’ve chosen Bignell Park as the venue for your ceremony or reception you’ve already made a fantastic start to tying the knot! Celebrate in The Oaks Restaurant for an intimate, relaxed gathering in classic surroundings or opt for an outdoor marquee to incorporate the sights and sounds of summer in your wedding festivities. Set in two acres of beautiful grounds, the hotel makes a stunning backdrop for taking timeless photos and videos. Our heated marquee has its own bar, and our specialist wedding planners will help you to design a gorgeous layout, featuring your favourite colours, flowers and decorations…

Decorations

Fabulous flowers and bright colours are perfect for a summer wedding. Bring the greenery of the outdoors into your wedding venue by selecting colourful centrepieces for each table, floral tablecloths or vibrant chair covers. Why not use summer bunting to make memorable decorations that suit the season? We can recommend a selection of suppliers who will work with you to create wedding décor that meets your vision.

Catering

The team at The Oaks Restaurant will handle the catering for you.  Our menus feature the best seasonal produce, delicious desserts and unforgettable mains. Simply give us an idea of the types of dishes you’d like to serve at your reception or wedding breakfast to inspire your customised menu.

Entertainment

DJ, orchestra, disco, band or singer? There’s room for all sorts of entertainment packages at Bignell Park Hotel. Why not think outside of the box and book a magician, a caricaturist, palm reader or face painter for the kids?

For more inspiration come to our Wedding Fayre on Sunday 11th September between 12-3pm – explore the hotel, view our marquee and meet a range of exhibitors including photographers, florists and dressmakers.
